How long is the health certificate valid?

The certificate is valid for a lifetime, but regular refreshers according to §43 IfSG, in the form of follow-up training, are legally required.

How does online identification work?

You just need to upload a picture of the front side and, if necessary, the back side of your ID and take a selfie. Make sure you have good lighting for the photo and that your image is clearly visible.

Will I receive a written certificate?

After successfully completing the training, you can directly download the certificate, which confirms participation and completion of the infection protection training. This health certificate is digitally signed by an authorized German doctor and is officially recognized nationwide as training according to §§ 42, 43 IfSG. To provide proof, you must print the certificate, sign it yourself, and present it in paper form to your employer & the health authority during an inspection.
