The certificate of your infection protection instruction under § 43 IfSG is not issued by just any physician. The instruction and the issuing of the certificate must be carried out by the public health office (Gesundheitsamt) or by a physician commissioned by the public health office. The ID check is a legally required step to verify your identity and ensure that your certificate is valid. It is done digitally and without any hassle. During the process you are asked to take a picture of your ID document and a selfie. This data is used solely for the one-time identity check, transmitted encrypted, processed in line with strict German data protection rules (GDPR) and deleted once the statutory retention period ends. No problem! If the automatic ID check does not work, you can have your identity verified manually instead. Simply send us a photo or a scan of your ID document (national ID card, passport, driving licence or residence permit) by email to [email protected]. We will check your document manually and unlock the course for you promptly. This manual check is just as secure and just as valid as the automatic verification.

For the identity check we accept all valid official photo ID documents: national ID card, passport, driving licence or residence permit. What matters is that your ID document is still valid and has not expired. If you have any questions about whether your document is accepted, feel free to contact us at [email protected].

If you have not received an email from us, please check your SPAM or JUNK folder first. Our emails sometimes end up there by mistake. Just enter your email address there and you will be sent a new 6-digit login code. This applies both to login emails and to your certificate after you pass the test. Signing in is very simple: after your purchase you receive an email with a login link. Click that link to go straight to the course. If the link no longer works or you have not received an email, you can request a new login code at any time at https://app.on7-gesundheitszeugnis.de/auth. Just enter your email address there and you will be sent a 6-digit code by email that you can use to sign in.

The initial instruction under § 43 (1) IfSG is the first-time instruction you need when you take up work in the food sector or in hospitality. It must be carried out by the responsible public health office (Gesundheitsamt) or by a physician commissioned by the public health office. The follow-up instruction is then required at least every two years if you continue working for the same employer. It can also be carried out internally by an authorized person within the company or - if that is not available or not wanted - done easily and digitally via our portal. Important: a follow-up instruction is only valid if you can provide proof of an initial instruction.

The infection protection instruction under §§ 42, 43 IfSG is a certificate with lifelong validity, provided that you take up the relevant activity within 3 months of it being issued. What is decisive for its ongoing validity in day-to-day working life, however, is that a follow-up instruction is carried out by the employer at least every 2 years. If the employer cannot carry out the follow-up instruction, we offer you the digital solution on our portal.

Working without the required infection protection instruction in a sensitive area can have serious consequences. During inspections by the public health office (Gesundheitsamt), substantial penalties can be imposed on both the employee and the employer. In the case of repeated violations, a company can even lose its operating licence.
